Retrofit of gear hobbers with new controls
for three axes to Sinumerik 828 D sl
without mechanical rebuild

This electrical retrofit includes not only exchange of the control but also drives,
drive motors and a new electric cabinet. In addition we provide an operator
interface with dialogue menue to upgrade the machine. We use
state- of- the- art controls from Siemens only. The common PIV- gearbox
for the main drive is completely replaced by Siemens digital drives.

We don't modify the machine kinematics, i.e. there are still change
gears and differential gears.

On request we offer the combination of a partial mechanical
retrofit with a new CNC control for three axes.

Advantages of this retrofit:
- free programmation of hobbing cycles
- improved convenience for the operator
- function keys instead of touchscreen  (compared with PLC control)
- colour screen- Program memory,
- saving of part programs with allocated drawing numbers
- crown gear hobbing (symmetric crowning) and taper gear hobbing
